Thermography printed Invitations:

Text is raised.

Most common type of printing today. Thermography is a raised printing process in which your verse text is transferred to your invitation by inking a printing plate, the card stock is dusted with powder and then heated - the ink and the powder fuse and dry to produce the raised lettering effect.

Many people often confuse Engraved and Thermography printed invitations. They Look very similar. The one way to tell them apart is that if you flip over an invitation, an engraved invitation will have a slight impression from where the text was "engraved" or pressed into the back of the card stock. If an invitation was printed using Thermography, the back of the card will be smooth.
