Decorations for your Bridal Shower
Bridal shower decor can be as elaborate or as simple as you desire. The possibilities are endless. You can plan your decorations and centerpieces as well as invitations, menu and favors to compliment the style and theme of your bridal shower. Balloons Create balloon arches, tie together colorful bunches balloons as centerpieces, tie streamers to individual balloons and allow them to float freely though out the room, or tie the streamers to the backs of your guests chairs, glass stems, or napkin rings. Banners and Streamers Banners printed with Congratulations or the bride and grooms names stretched across an archway or any wall are perfect for any bridal shower type or theme. Check with your local printing companies for price lists. Flowers and Plants Vases of fresh or silk flowers are traditional centerpieces and decoration accents for showers. If available, gather the fresh flowers from your flower garden. If you do not have fresh flower available to you, use silk flowers or purchase "in-season" fresh flowers from your local florist. Flower Pots A great centerpiece idea that can double as your favors to your guests or as additional party gifts for your shower games. You can purchase or if you are the "crafty" type, create flower post centerpieces. Check your local hobby and craft stores for pre-made flower pots, order custom created flower pots with your party theme in mind, or purchase the supplies and create your own. Candles Tea-lites, votives, tapers, or pillars make the perfect centerpiece for any event, whether displayed individually in a single candle stick, or as the focal piece of a larger floral centerpiece. If you are hosting an outside or evening shower with a beach or tropical theme, you can create "luminaries" by placing votives and votive candles set in sand in brown or white paper lunch sized bags. Napkins, Napkin Holders, Table Cloths and Placemats Rolled or fanned napkins look great tied with a colorful ribbon or tucked into a water or wine goblet. Coordinate your napkins, table cloths and placemats to match your party type and or theme. For an afternoon tea, use fine china, lace table cloths, placemats and linen napkins. Holiday If your bridal shower is set close to a holiday, you may want to consider using the holiday theme to select your bridal shower decorations and create your centerpieces |
