For an Around-the-World shower, each guest is assigned a country and then purchases gifts with their country in mind. China might purchase a rice steamer with rice bowls and chopsticks, Italy might purchase a pasta maker, pasta bowl and serving set or maybe a coffee bean grinder, espresso coffee pot and espresso coffee cups. Swiss army knife or a box of specialty select chocolates for Switzerland.

Photo or Memory Shower

For a photo or memory shower, ask your guests to bring copies of their favorite photos of the bride, groom and their families that you will use to create a memory or photo book for the happy couple.  You can collect and display the photos for the shower and create your memory book later. If your guests enjoy crafting, gather some scrapbooking supplies and give each guest a page to create. At the end of the shower, assemble your memory book and present to the bride as a gift.
